of Confessional

The concealed analogy of

confessional for the CBOX-2

is regarded as an important

factor for the ingenuity

of design...

             ——notion of light/darkness, public/private and visible/invisible.

 

 

DRAFT 1

The first design is intended

to facilate the fabrication by

using a simple declined

cubic form.

 

DRAFT 2

The second design has

implied a "self-service"

style game, that encourage

the user to decide the

light/visibility/publicity

of the inner space.

 

DRAFT 3

The third draft has imagined

a shpere space with all the

objects hanging/floating

in the air.

 

DRAFT 4

The forth draft has illustrated

a floating space supported

by a tree's root.

 

DRAFT 5

This idea has directly formed

CBOX-2 into a metallic tree.

 

Morphological

Chart

A morphological chart is

made for comparing effectively

the drafts in different aspecs.

By grading each indicator of

design criteria, the one that

scores the highest is the best choice. However, none of them has been approved by the judges.

A more sophisticated design is expected.
